First session of 14th Lok Sabha to begin on June 2

New Delhi: The first session of the 14th Lok Sabha will begin on June 2 and President A P J Abdul Kalam will address a joint sitting of Parliament on June 7.

The decision to convene the nine-day session of the Parliament was taken today (May 23, 2004) at the first meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The newly elected Members of the Lok Sabha would take oath on June 2 and 3 while the election of Speaker is scheduled for June 4, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan told reporters after the meeting.
