T K A Nair, a retired IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, has been appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Prime Minister, it was officially announced today (May 25, 2004).
Nair is presently the Chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
It was earlier reported that Nair had been appointed Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
