New Delhi: Dayanadhi Maran today (May 26, 2004) took over as the Minister for Communications and Information Technology.

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader, who had delayed assumption of office due to the row over allocation of portfolios, was briefed by senior Ministry officials.
