Siwan repoll: RJD's Shahbuddin beats Yadav of JD-U

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mohammad Shahbuddin defeated his nearest Janata Dal-United (JD-U) rival Om Prakash Yadav by a margin of 1,03, 777 votes from Siwan Lok Sabha seat in Bihar.

Shahbuddin polled 3,18,353 votes to register his victory from the seat for the fourth time in a row.

Election for the Siwan seat was held on April 26, but repolling was conducted at 193 polling stations on May 24 after the Election Commission inquired into the complaints of large scale booth capturing during the April 26 poll.
