CBI raids in B'lore to unearth fake stamp papers
Wednesday, May 26 2004 16:34 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out raids in Bangalore today (May 26, 2004) to unearth fake stamp papers, sources in the investigation agency said.

"The raids were carried out at more than one place," the sources said, adding that the raids were continuing.

CBI is investigating the multi-crore stamp paper scam cases across the country.

A Pune court had last week remanded the prime accused in the scam Abdul Karim Telgi to CBI custody for 10 days.

He was then taken to Delhi by the investigation agency for interrogation.

The raids in the city are believed to be a sequel to CBI grilling him in the national capital.
