Laloo to seek legal opinion against Advani
Thursday, May 27 2004 20:16 Hrs (IST)

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav today (May 27, 2004) alleged that former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani had submitted a forged affidavit while seeking re-election from Gandhinagar and said he would seek legal opinion before proceeding legally on the matter.

Talking to reporters in Patna, Yadav, quoting the affidavit, which he claimed to have got on the Internet, said Advani had pledged that he had graduated in Law from a Mumbai university in 1942, while on the other hand he had submitted that he did his tenth from a Sind College in 1944 and matriculated from St Patrick High School (Karachi) in 1947.

"The affidavit seems to be false and forged," the RJD chief said.

He said he would consult his lawyers and decide his future course of action.
