Pak accepts dates proposed by India for talks

Islamabad: Pakistan today (June 1, 2004) said it has accepted dates proposed by India for Foreign Secretary-level talks and expert-level parleys on nuclear CBMs later this month.

"The Government of India today proposed June 19-20 for the expert-level talks on nuclear confidence-building measures (CBMs) and 27-28 June for Foreign Secretary-level. Pakistan has accepted these dates," a Foreign Office statement said.

The talks on nuclear CBMs were earlier scheduled for May 25th and 26th, but were postponed due to the Government change in India.
