Red alert Railways: Laloo can be the next passenger
Thursday, June 3 2004 15:56 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Railway staff beware! New Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav may be travelling incognito to make an on-the-spot assessment of passengers' problems.

The alert was sounded by Yadav to his officials when he paid a surprise visit to the New Delhi Railway Station late last night (June 2, 2004) to see for himself the cleanliness and upkeep of the station.

During his visit to the station, the Minister noticed certain "infirmities" in the maintenance and cleanliness and instructed the officials to maintain the desired level of alertness in all-round upkeep of the station and ensure user-friendly services, an official release said today (June 3, 2004).
