Attempt to murder case against NTR's actor-son Friday, June 4 2004 18:31 Hrs (IST)

Police has registered an attempt to murder case against Telugu film actor and the youngest son of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao, Balakrishna, in connection with last night's shooting incident in which two persons, including film producer B Suresh, were grievously injured.
"We have booked a case of attempt to murder under Sections 307 IPC and 25 and 27 of Indian Arms Act on the basis of a complaint as well as evidences collected from the residence of the actor," Police Commissioner R P Singh told reporters today (June 4, 2004).
B Suresh and his friend Satyanarayan Choudhary suffered serious bullet injuries when Balakrishna allegedly opened fire following an argument last night.
"We have collected some evidence including empty bullets and blood-stained cloths from the residence of Balakrishna where the incident took place," Singh said.
When asked if Balakrishna would be arrested, the Police Commissioner said he will be taken into custody as soon as he was discharged from hospital as the actor also had got himself admitted to a corporate hospital complaining of a hand injury.
