Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh and his deputy Siddaramaiah refused to react to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's demand for convening the meeting of the Cauvery River Authority (CRA) to discuss the water sharing issue.

Addressing a press conference after the first Cabinet meeting of the expanded Ministry, both said that the issue did not come up for discussions.

Singh and Siddaramaiah said the next Cabinet would debate and decide on the issue.

Jayalalithaa has urged the Centre to convene the CRA meeting to discuss the distress formula on sharing of Cauvery river water between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
