Next expansion of K'taka Ministry after House session

Bangalore: A day after expanding the Congress-Janata Dal - Secular coalition Ministry headed by him, Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today (June 6, 2004) said he would carry out the next expansion in one go after the coming Legislature session.

Speaking to reporters at Raj Bhavan after former Minister and senior-most member of the present Assembly, R V Deshpande, was sworn-in as the pro-tem Speaker, he said all the remaining 22 Ministerial berths would be filled in the next expansion.

"All the remaining 22", he said, when asked how many would be inducted in the third installment.

The Legislature session beginning on June 9 is expected to last till June 16.
