Patna:
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four persons in Gaya in connection with the murder of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) official Satyendra Dubey even as the probe so far indicated the killing took place during a roadside robbery.
The four persons arrested by the CBI were Babloo Mehtar, Uday Mallah, Mantoo Paswan and Tutoo Paswan. They were produced before a designated court in Patna which remanded them to CBI custody, CBI sources said.
The four were being brought to the CBI headquarters here for a detailed interrogation, they said.
A senior CBI team headed by Deputy Inspector General Lok Nath Bera was camping at Gaya.
The sources said that the investigations so far indicated that the murder of Dubey was a roadside robbery case but further light to the effect was likely to be thrown by the four arrested persons.
