Patna: Railway Minister Laloo Prasad today (Jun 11, 2004) said that it has been decided in principle to cancel the contract of A H Wheeler and Sons to run book stalls at railway stations across the country and to invite open bids for the purpose.

"We have decided in principle to cancel the contracts of A H Wheeler and Sons even at small railway stations and to invite open bids for running these stalls for five years," Yadav said at 1, Anne Marg, the official residence of his Chief Minister wife Rabri Devi, after receiving bouquets, garlands, cakes and sweets from his supporters on his 58th "unofficial birthday".

This would provide opportunities to people coming from middle and lower strata of society to earn money, Yadav said.
