Ram temple: VHP doubtful on the success of 'talks' Sunday, June 13 2004 11:04 Hrs (IST)
Ayodhya:
VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) joint secretary Omkar Bhave today (Jun 12, 2004) said that he was doubtful whether the efforts to resolve the vexed Ayodhya issue through talks would succeed since Muslim organisations may oppose it.
"It (talks) is not likely to give any fruitful result due to Opposition by the Muslim organisations," he said at Karsevakpuram when asked about the chances of resolving the Ayodhya issue through dialogue.
Bhave said the VHP would watch the functioning of the new United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre for one year and in the meantime the organisation would be strengthened in the country for the Ayodhya Temple movement.
"The next course of action regarding the Ram Janambhoomi Temple movement will be decided under the guidance of saints, mahants and Hindu religious leaders," he said.
Earlier, Bhave addressed the closing function of weeklong training programme of Bajrang Dal workers, drawn from 16 district of UP.
