FM to present Union Budget 2004-05 on July 8 in LS

New Delhi: The Budget session of Parliament will begin on July 5 and Finance Minister P Chidambaram will present the Union Budget for 2004-05 on July 8 in the Lok Sabha.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, today (Jun 15, 2004).

Railway budget will be presented on July 6, while the pre-budget Economic Survey for 2003-04 will be released on July 7, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Meira Kumar told reporters.
