Cong ally TRS to join Govt in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi: Telengana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), an ally of Congress in Andhra Pradesh will join the Congress Government in the State.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajashekhar Reddy told reporters that TRS, which fought the elections along with Congress, would join the Government on June 21.

He also said one of the Rajya Sabha seats in the State for which elections will be held on June 28 would go to CPM (Communist Party of India-Marxist).

There is speculation that CPM politburo member Sitaram Yechuri is likely to be the candidate.
