Bangalore:
'Bharat Soka Gakkai' has opened an exhibition at Chitrakala Parishath named 'Dialogue with Nature'. The photographs are taken by Buddhist philosopher, educator and peace activist Dr Daisaku Ikeda who is the Honorary President of SGI, a non-profit NGO registered with United Nations.
The exhibition, which is called "Dialogue with nature" comes a long way after making its debut in Japan in 1982. Since then, it has toured 73 cities in 32 countries and has attracted over 7.5 million viewers.
"I use my heart to photograph and not the viewfinder," says Dr Ikeda. For him photography is more than a profession, "it is an attempt to capture the truth".
Dr Ikeda is an honorary member of the France's Val de Bievres Photo Club. He has received over 150 honorary doctorates and fellowships and over 200 honorary citizenships. He hopes to link together the hearts of people from different nations, cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
