BJP Parliamentary meet to discuss LS polls, Gujarat

New Delhi: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) Parliamentary Board meeting began in New Delhi today (Jun 20, 2004) to make a detailed review of the Lok Sabha poll outcome including Gujarat.

The meeting was called in the wake of Vajpayee's statement during his holiday in Manali that the violence in the State was one of the reasons for the party's debacle.

Being held at party president M Venkaiah Naidu's residence, the meeting is being attended by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, general secretaries Sushma Swaraj, Pramod Mahajan and Arun Jaitley and senior leaders like Jaswant Singh, among others.
