Rao stable, likley to be discharged in 3-4 days Monday, June 21 2004 14:51 Hrs (IST)

Former Prime Minister P V Narsimha Rao is stable and doctors are carrying out investigations to decide his future treatment for heart problem and diabetes, All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS) officials said today (June 21, 2004).
"He is stable, and hale and hearty," Dr D K Sharma, officiating Medical Superintendent at AIIMS, said.
Rao is likely to be discharged in three-four days, he said, adding when admitted, he had mild jaundice which has now been cured.
Sharma said that 83-year-old Rao is an old heart patient and also suffers from diabetes. Investigations are being carried out to know about proper future treatment for him.
Rao was admitted on 16th June to AIIMS gastro ward as he complained of loss of appetite. Investigations had shown rise in liver enzymes.
