Ranchi: At least five police personnel were killed in a landmine blast at Rania in Khunti sub-division of Ranchi district tonight (June 22, 2004) by suspected extremists, Director General of Police R R Prasad told reporters in Ranchi.

Additional police forces have been rushed to the spot, he added.
