Guj Police to send advanced report on slain Pak ultras Tuesday, June 22 2004 13:56 Hrs (IST)

Gujarat police today (Jun 22, 2004) said that it would send an advanced report to the External Affairs Ministry about the two alleged Pakistani terrorists, who were gunned down along with two other alleged LeT operatives planning to assassinate Chief Minister Narendra Modi, on the city outskirts, on June 15.
State Director General of Police A K Bhargav told reporters that an advanced report about the two Pakistani terrorists and also the request for the bodies to be collected by Pakistani officials would be sent to the Home Ministry to be forwarded to the External Affairs Ministry.
He said that an official communique with the MEA in this regard had already taken place the very next day after the encounter.
When asked about the situation of the body of Javed, the Pune-based alleged terrorist who was killed along with Ishrat Sheikh of Mumbra, the DGP said that, "His (Javed's) relatives know about the incident and they have been informed to come to Ahmedabad and claim the body."
