IIM-K board meeting today, likely to retain old fee Thursday, June 24 2004 10:09 Hrs (IST)
Kozhikode:
The Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K), will meet this evening (Jun 24, 2004) to discuss the fee structure and need-based scholarship.
IIM-K sources here said the 18-member board was expected to revert to the old fee structure in keeping with the "common" formula adopted by the directors of the six IIMs in the country.
As IIM-K chairman A C Muthiah, currently abroad had already expressed his inability to attend the meet, the senior-most member of the Board would preside, the sources said, adding a representative of the Human Resource Development Ministry would also take part in the discussions.
The meeting of the IIM-K, being held after the five other IIM had already reverted to the old fee structure with IIM-Lucknow doing so yesterday (Jun 23, 2004), was also likely to broad base its scholarship policy, the sources added.
