'Workers lacked enthusiasm, campaign didn't click'
Thursday, June 24 2004 17:39 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (June 24, 2004) attributed the lack of enthusiasm among the party workers during the Lok Sabha polls to the absence of coordination on the part of local leaders and said the campaign to electronic media and gizmos did not capture the common man's imagination.

Addressing the concluding session of BJP's (Bharatiya Janata Party) three-day National Executive here, he said the workers were not enthused, as the local leaders did not coordinate with them properly.
