US Indian Neha Oberoi gets wildcard for Wimbledon

Bangalore: US citizen of Indian origin Neha Oberoi has been given a wild card for the Girls' main draw at the Wimbledon Championships.

Neha, one of the best junior players in the world, is currently "USTA's Circuit Player of Week", according to information received in Bangalore.

She also earned the distinction of becoming the first person of Indian origin to qualify for the Tier I event on the WTA Tour when she qualified for a wild card in the Women's draw at next year's Nasdaq-100 Open, due to her performance at the Luxilon Cup in April this year.
