First round of Foreign Secretary-level talks end

New Delhi: The first round of Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan on peace and security including Confidence Building Measures (CMBs) concluded today (June 27, 2004) with both sides presenting a slew of proposals.

The talks held at Hyderabad House between the two delegations led by Foreign Secretary Shashank and his Pakistani counterpart Riaz Khokhar lasted three-and-a-half hours.

The talks will continue tomorrow when the two sides would discuss the Kashmir issue.
