Vadodara: A woman has been arrested from Khokharia village in Sankaria taluka of the district for allegedly harbouring three absconding accused persons of the Best Bakery massacre case, police said here today (June 30, 2004).

Inspector D Vaghela of the Detective Crime Branch (DCB) told that the woman was arrested for allegedly harbouring the three persons for past one month in her house.

Acting on a tip off that three accused persons--Jagdish, Sanjay and Sandip--were being harboured, the DCB team rushed to her house and found nobody there but recovered some articles and papers indicating that the three Best bakery accused had been staying there, Vaghela said.

Police said that the woman's husband was also missing from her house when the raid was conducted.

The DCB has been entrusted the responsibility of re-arresting all the best bakery accused persons after the Supreme Court order of April 12.

Police has so far rearrested seven of the 21 accused so far while one is out on bail.
