'Bajrang Dal will be activated against infiltration' Wednesday, June 30 2004 20:25 Hrs (IST)
Kolkata:
Expressing concern over the alleged infiltration from Bangaldesh and increased ISI activities, Vishwa Hindu Parishad has decided to activate Bajrang Dal to generate awareness in villages close to the international border against the problem of unabated influx.
Speaking to reporters on the deliberations of the opening day of the two-day VHP's governing council comprising 150 office bearers today (June 30, 2004), its vice president Giriraj Kishore said the meeting would discuss the unabated influx of Muslims from Bangladesh.
Emphasising the need for generating awareness in villages close to the border, he said, "Whenever Hindus are in trouble, the Bajrang Dal will take up the cause".
"There is a danger that the Hindus will turn into a minority in areas near the international border", he said.
He claimed "there is an encouragement from Bangladesh to the problem of infiltration while the ISI activities have increased. Bajrang Dal will be activated to take up the cause of Hindus and against infiltration".
