Cabinet approves visa-free travel to four countries Wednesday, June 30 2004 21:41 Hrs (IST)
New Delhi:
Diplomats and officials will now be able to undertake visa-free travel between India and Israel, Brazil, Guyana and Chile.
This follows the approval given by the Union Cabinet today (June 30, 2004) for implementing agreements India has signed with the four countries.
"This will enable diplomatic and official passport holders of India and these countries visa-free travel while entering, transiting through and exiting from the territory of the other country," an official spokesperson said after the 90-minute cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
New Delhi had the agreement for visa-free travel with Israel in September last year, with Brazil in January this year, with Chile in April last year and Guyana in February last year.
