'I am least bothered about NDA boycotting rail budget'
Thursday, July 1 2004 21:55 Hrs (IST)

Patna: Terming NDA's (National Democratic Alliance) plan to boycott the presentation of railway budget as ''a sign of desperation of the NDA leaders after the poll debacle'', Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today (July 1, 2004) said he was 'least bothered' about it.

''I am least bothered about the NDA planning boycotting the railway budget. Those who are interested will listen to it. I can not do anything about it,'' Prasad told in Patna.

Prasad said the NDA's boycott plan was reflection of their ''desperation to corner me any how. When they did not succeed to defeat me in the elections, they are indulging in petty politics,'' he added.

''It appears they are not interested in development work and this is the reason they want to put roadblocks in the way,'' he said.
