PM reconstitutes National Security Advisory Board Friday, July 9 2004 16:08 Hrs (IST)
New Delhi:
The National Security Advisory Board, an important element of the National Security Council system, has been reconstituted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who has appointed a former diplomat S K Lambah as its Convener.
Hamid Ansari, former Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University and a former diplomat, Manoj Joshi, senior journalist, 'Hindustan Times', C Raja Mohan, Professor, Centre for International Politics and Disarmament, Jawaharlal Nehru University and retired Lt Gen S S Mehta, former Army Commander, Western Command are among the 15 members of this multi-disciplinary body comprising persons of eminence from outside the Government.
The reconstituted Board will have a two-year term.
