Mata 'Amma' to address Parliament of World Religions

Kochi: Mata Amritanandamayi will speak on 'Pathways to Peace--the wisdom of listening, the power of commitment' at the concluding plenary session of the Parliament of World Religions at Barcelona in Spain, tonight (July 12, 2004).

Rev Dr Raimon Panikkar and Federico Mayor, former Director General UNSECO, will share the platform with the Mata, according to a release from the Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt in Kochi.

The Parliament is one of the world's greatest inter-religious gathering with participants from hundreds of religious and spiritual movements from the five continents.

Religious and spiritual leaders from the five continents are participating in the Parliament, which began on July 7. Nearly 4,000 delegates from all over the world are taking part.
