Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan proved Samaritan for two youths who were trapped in a car accident in front of the actor's house in suburban Bandra on Tuesday night (July 13).

Salman rushed to help three youth trapped in a Lancer that crashed on an electric pole in front of Galaxy apartments on that night, and removed them before he accompanied them to Lilawati Hospital, police said.

Unfortunately, one of the youth, Anzar Darvesh (17) succumbed to injuries, while his brother Turaib Darvesh (21) and friend Raunak (20) are admitted to ICU and recuperating, police said.

The actor not only rushed the injured to hospital, but also informed the Darvesh family, police sources added. He also stayed in the hospital till early Thursday morning to assure proper care of the injured.

One of the injured Turaib is studying abroad and had returned to India for a small vacation trip, police sources said.

Salman Khan had landed into a controversy in September 2002, when he was booked for reckless driving leading to an accident with his imported Land Cruiser, killing one person and injuring many in front of American Express Bakery in Bandra.
