Saturday, July 17 2004 13:03 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Jul 17, 2004) asserted that all issues, including FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in telecom, insurance and aviation, would be resolved through dialogue with allies and exuded confidence that the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government would have a "smooth sailing".

"We will resolve all issues through the process of dialogue," Singh said.

Asked about the opposition from Left parties to hiking of FDI limits in telecom, aviation and insurance, he reiterated, "All issues can be resolved... I am very confident that we will have a smooth sailing in the end."
