Ranchi: The arrest warrant against Coal Minister Sibu Soren issued by the Jamtara district court last Saturday (July 10,2004) was received by the Jamtara Superintendent of Police S N Jha today (July 19,2004).

Earlier, Jha had told that despatch of the arrest warrant was being delayed due to a fire incident at the Deogarh district court yesterday (July 18,2004), as many judges were busy with that.

Meanwhile, JMM (Jharkand Mukti Morcha) party sources here said a team of lawyers have come from Delhi to challenge the warrant against Soren in Jharkhand High Court. The fire broke out yesterday (July 18,2004) in the Malkhana of the Deogarh district court where files are stacked and the Jharkhand High Court has asked the Registrar (Vigilance) to probe the incident.
