'Will building Ram Temple unify the society?'
Wednesday, July 21 2004 20:15 Hrs (IST)

Chennai: The DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) today (July 21, 2004) expressed itself in favour of separate reservation for Muslims in Government services.

"This is one of our poll promises," DMK President M Karunanidhi told in Chennai.

On the BJP's (Bharatiya Janata Party) opposition to Andhra Pradesh Government's decision to provide reservation to Muslims, he said, "It is not surprising."

On the BJP's contention that the Andhra Pradesh Government's move would only divide the society on communal lines, he said, "For them, construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya will unify the society."
