Judge refuses to hear Birla case on personal grounds

Kolkata: The case relating to the controversial will of Priyamwada Birla could not be taken up today (July 26, 2004) as the judge declined to hear the matter on personal grounds. Justice S K Mukherjee, in whose court the matter was assigned told the lawyers of Birla and their auditor Rajendra Lodha that he could not take up the matter on personal grounds and would request the chief justice to reassign it.
