Doctor held for issuing fake certificate to Telgi
Wednesday, July 28 2004 16:19 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: CBI today (July 28,2004) arrested a doctor of Government-run Victoria Hospital, Jnanendrappa, on the charge of issuing for "some consideration" false medical certificate to fake stamp paper racket kingpin Abdul Karim Telgi for bail purpose.

Jnanendrappa is Assistant Professor of Medicine and in-charge of Diabetic Clinic, according to sources said.

He was to be arrested earlier this month along with another doctor Chennakeshava of the same hospital but the investigation agency could not do so as he had admitted himself in a hospital citing medical grounds, the sources said. CBI had questioned Jnanendrappa then.
