Three Indian corporate heads including, Azim Premji of Wipro have been chosen as "the Most Powerful People in Business in Asia's Power 25 list".
The other two are Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Group and Nandan Nilekani of Infosys.
According to the latest issue of the Fortune magazine, Premji has been ranked tenth while Ambani is 13th and Nilekani 23rd.
Last year India had only one corporate chieftain in the prestigious list.
"Our picks are magnets to be watched," writes Fortune in its second annual list of the world's most powerful people in business.
"India, too, is spawning powerful moguls. With a racing economy, a highly skilled technical workforce, and the ability to easily export goods and services to the rest of the English-speaking world, India is coming into its own," the magazine said.
China's Levin Zhu of China International Capital Corporation, ranked 15th, is the youngest at 45 followed by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Al Saud from Saudi Arabia of Kingdom Holdings, ranked 7, at 47.
Mukesh Ambani at 48 is the third youngest in Asia's Power 25 list.
