Hostage crisis: Indian envoy meets KGL officials
Tuesday, August 10 2004 11:09 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Swash Pawan Singh today (Aug 10, 2004) held an hour-long meeting with officials of KGL (Kuwiati and Gulf Link), employer of the Indians abducted in Iraq, in connection with the hostage crisis.

During the meeting, KGL briefed the Indian envoy about the latest developments and said it was ready to do anything to get the hostages freed, official sources said in New Delhi.

The hostage crisis has gone into a limbo with there being no contact between the abductors' side and KGL since yesterday.

After days of talks, KGL pulled out of talks last night accusing Sheikh Hisham Al-Dulaimi, who was negotiating on behalf of the kidnappers, of not being sincere.
