Tuesday, August 10 2004 11:31 Hrs (IST)

Nasik: A close friend of Harish Hitange, who has been kidnapped in Poland, today (Aug 10, 2004) claimed that a meeting is being held in Poland with the Indian embassy, police officials, private detectives and employers to discuss the whereabouts of Harish.

Hitange's friend, Krishna Mahajan owner of Nasik-based Magnum Engineers of which Harish is one of the partner told reporters that "he had received information about the meeting taking place from Harish's employer in Poland."

He further said, "no fresh message has been received regarding progress of Harish's search and that even, kidnappers have not sent any 'SMS' to his employers in Poland since past three weeks."

Meanwhile, Rekha Hitange, wife of Harish, who landed in Mumbai from Poland on August 6, arrived at the Devlali camp at her in-laws place today.

When contacted Rekha told reporters that no fresh development happened regarding Harish's release and still we are not aware of his whereabouts.

She hoped that Indian Government will look into matter seriously.

Thirty-five year old Harish was kidnapped in Poland on April 20, 2004 for a ransom.
