VHP set to float political outfit to replace BJP
Sunday, August 15 2004 17:45 Hrs (IST)

Ghaziabad: Accusing the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) of betrayal, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said on Sunday (Aug 15, 2004) that it was ready to float a separate political outfit, which will aspire for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.

The proposed outfit will 'replace' the BJP, which betrayed the VHP during its six-year rule, VHP's Uttar Pradesh Chief Harpal Singh told reporters in Ghaziabad.

He charged former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and other BJP leaders of ignoring VHP and during the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) rule.
