Militants fired on the security personnel at Panj Pir Shrine in Nagrota-Ramnagar forest belt in the outskirts of the city when it was accompanying the pilgrims convoy to Pahalgam base camp, official sources said.

There was no loss of life or injury in the attack following which police and security forces in the forest belt launched a joint search operation.
