New Delhi: The truckers strike was called off early today (Aug 28, 2004) following a settlement reached with the Government.

The settlement was arrived at after a marathon meeting lasting over nine hours where the two sides decided on the formation of a committee to look into various contentious issues, trucker's union representatives said in New Delhi.
