India will have own cryogenic engines in 5 yrs: ISRO

Madurai: India will have its own cryogenic engines in five years, ISRO-Liquid Propulsion System Centre director N Vedhachalam said in Madurai.

Inaugurating a technical symposium at a private engineering college yesterday (Sep 3, 2004), he said the ISRO was taking all efforts to make the vision of Vikram Sarabhai- to take the benefits of achievements in the satellite field to the masses-come true.

He said ISRO was ready to launch the EDUSAT this month. It would benefit rural schools equipped with interactive mode of learning, he said.
