Following are the decisions announced after the two-day talks between External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri in New Delhi today (Sep 6, 2004):
Ceasefire in force since November 25, 2003 to be continued
Experts to have second round of parleys on conventional and nuclear CBMs (Confidence Building Measures)
Technical-level talks on the proposed Munabao-Khokrapar rail link in October-November
Joint survey of boundary pillars in the horizontal segment of International Border in Sir Creek area will be conducted
Indian Coast Guard and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency to discuss MoU for communication between them
BSF and Pakistani Rangers will have bi-annual meeting in October
A 'Special Day' bus-service will be operated between Amritsar and Lahore for visits to religious places there like Nankana Sahib on special occasions
Speeding up setting up of consulates in Mumbai and Karachi
Young diplomats to undertake study tours to each other's country
Singh to visit Pakistan
Petroleum Ministers to meet to discuss energy cooperation.
