CEC reviews election preparations in Maharashtra Monday, September 13 2004 11:23 Hrs (IST)

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) T S Krishna Murthy today (Sep 13, 2004) began his day-long review of poll preparedness for the October 13 State Assembly elections with leaders of all political parties and officials.
Krishna Murthy will review the poll preparations, model code of conduct and other details with the representatives of political parties while the security and other poll-related arrangements with the district authorities and police officials in the meeting being held at Sahyadri Guest House, official sources said.
Krishna Murthy who is accompanied by two Election Commissioners N Gopalaswami and B B Tandon, would meet representatives of political parties till noon.
The EC team is scheduled to meet Police Commissioners, Collectors and district police officials later in the day, sources said.
Later in the day, the CEC will address the media, sources added.
