India liberalises visa rules for Pak nationals

New Delhi: In order to take forward the Indo-Pak peace process, India today (Sep 18, 2004) announced further liberalisation of visas for Pakistani nationals including accredited journalists, medical doctors and academicians. The facility would also be available for Pakistani nationals above the age of 65, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna said.

Pakistani journalists accredited with national or international media of repute for at least three years will be given multiple entry visas without prior reference to headquarters and with exemption to report to police, he told reporters.
