PM speaks to Clinton, wishes him speedy recovery

New York: In the midst of hectic schedule, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke to former US President Bill Clinton, who is recuperating from a bypass surgery, and wished him speedy recovery.

Clinton was highly appreciative of Singh's gesture, India's Ambassador to the US Ronen Sen said in New York yesterday (Sep 21, 2004).

Clinton, who had to defer his visit to India in view of heart ailment, said he would undertake the visit as early as possible.
