CBI conducts nation-wide raids on Govt officials

New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today (Sep 29, 2004) raided places of several Government officials all over the country as a part of its nation-wide anti-corruption drive.

The raids were simultaneously carried out in major cities across the country as a part of the agency's drive to check corruption among Government officials, a CBI spokesman said.

Residences of several senior officials, including some working in central ministries, were raided as a part of the exercise, he said.
