Mahajan predicts: Cong-NCP to break, Sena-BJP to win
Thursday, September 30 2004 12:41 Hrs (IST)

Aurangabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary and in charge of party affairs in Maharashtra, Pramod Mahajan today (Sep 30, 2004) expressed confidence that the Sena-BJP combine will come to power in the State after October 13 polls.

"The Congress-NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) alliance will break up due to dispute amongst them and this will prove to be beneficial to saffron combine," Mahajan told reporters in Aurangabad after concluding the first lap of election tour to Marathwada.

The BJP leader claimed that the rural masses were fed-up of the misrule of Democratic Front (DF) Government and wanted a change.

To a query on rebellion within his party, Mahajan said, "Such candidates will not pose a problem to the party."

Mahajan later left for Nagpur division for election campaign.
